Really looking forward to this game, who's with me? :)

Anyone care to discuss the actual game, you know, like real gamers would? So I'm looking forward to specifically reaching chapter 11 as that is where the game apparently really opens up, mmm sounds familiar to FFX doesn't it....

What are people's thoughts on the Voice acting? I prefer the way SE have done the English VA in FFXIII, I think it's more important that they actually went to the trouble of synching the ...

They simply changed their words slightly. Gamesthirst has no credibility.

How did this get approved?

Anyway, of course MS are going to market FFXIII as an important part of their lineup, it is strongly associated with the Playstation Brand at this point and they must try anything to erase that thought process.

Surprisingly it worked with GTA, which previously bolstered the PS2 as the top dog last generation, MS managed to break that thought process with just one game (GTA 4). It is more unlikely though that they can manage that again with...

looking forward to the info coming out of this event

Yeah, I don't think any of us should jump to conclusions until we have our hands on the game. Gamespot UK and Lostgamer played the final build at a UK press event and claimed that the 360 version looked better in gameplay but had noticeable compression during cutscenes. Whereas IGN and some neogaf members who played the two versions on that tour-bus thing (can anyone confirm if these were final builds?) claimed that the PS3 version looked better overall (I assume during gameplay and cutscenes...

Correct, they are identical shots, someone at SE has been using photoshop (for the buttons) ;)

Someone on Kotaku actually makes a cool picture using two segments from each build

I'm going to laugh so hard if people don't read our posts and claim to see a difference. :)

They weren't given any 360 images for the preview coverage so they used PS3 images. It is irrelevant anyway, because their comments weren't based on viewing still images, they played the final build on each platform at an event.

As I said above, we will all play it soon anyway, no need to try and discredit their article (which you failed at btw)...

LOL good stuff, you managed to approach that from different angle, I liked it.

I just don't like the mentality of people cherry picking what they want to read into based on personal bias. Seedhouse has explained the situation regarding the preview event, and I'm happy with that. The thing that you have to remember is, at these events people mingle with the 'competition' and discuss various ideas about what they witnessed during the play session, it is highly probable that they wi...

As someone who used to write for a gaming website, I can assure the second paragraph is not copied from the first. If they witnessed the same thing they are going to write about what they saw, there are only so many ways you can express the same ideas.

A little test for you if you want to take up the challenge :) You played both the Xbox 360 version and PS3 version of FFXIII, you noticed that the 360 version was 'crisper' during gameplay but suffered some compression during the c...

I should also add, if this site didn't have any integrity (like gamesthirst etc), they could have easily made the title something else to get way more attention.

Like "FFXIII 360 version hands on, the crisper experience" etc etc...

It sounds like they are simply relaying the information.

Seriously guys, can you be any less mature? Let me guess, if the author had claimed that the PS3 version was crisper, there wouldn't have been a problem, yet because he claims the opposite he just copied the information from another site? Jesus, some of you guys really need to grow up.

Agree. This site has NEVER written anything other than flamebait...At least other sites try, Gamesthirst is squarely aimed at stirring the N4G fanboys. Pathetic website.

Oh no, some people are going to be p*ssed...Exclusive Downloadable content for FFXIII? Wonder if it's only if you buy the bundle or if it will be available to purchase from XBL? Also I wonder what it is?

I'm getting the PS3 version, so I hope it isn't anything too significant...

EDIT: Thanks Jackdoe for clarifying that for me...I'm relieved now. I think that bundle could have actually done quite well if it was a branded console.

Ummm a little late aren't we, this 'news' was detailed ages ago...Oh wait, look at the site. Gamethirst never misses a chance to stir the fanboys. Your site is pathetic Movements.

I agree with most of the rational comments above, fanboys are inherently biased. Some people might claim it's human nature, but I see it as a negative human trait that not all of us posses. I bought a Samsung LCD TV last year, I love(d) it, but it certainly wasn't the best TV on the market, it did its job. I also have 2002 Ford Falcon (Car), it isn't the best car around and I would love to get a newer car, but hey, it's fine for me. You know, I bought a PS3 a while ago, I think it's great, bu...
